A Utah Voice for Utah Issues

I’m challenging incumbent Burgess Owens because his divisive rhetoric and absentee politics keep him from working on behalf of real people here in our district. Utahns deserve a dignified voice in Washington who is present and active in our communities, locally funded, and above all productive. 

I grew up milking cows and picking sweet corn in a family of eleven children. My parents showed me that the most vital pieces of America are always those closest to home — not back in Washington. They also ingrained in me the ideals of our founders: that what matters most is who you are on the inside; that we should look for leaders who are morally grounded and exhibit our values of respect and civility in public and in private.

I launched my campaign last August, and have spoken with thousands of you in the months since then. Last week at the state GOP convention, we surpassed all expectations for our scrappy, upstart campaign!  

In case you missed it, here’s my convention speech, which outlines my three priorities: 1) Cut spending & pass a budget; 2) Champion Utah in the fight against federal lands; 3) Spearhead congressional ethics reform

Politics has become a game where celebrity matters more than substance, and where talking points have replaced real solutions. The DC power structure continues to foster dysfunction and gridlock, spend our children into bankruptcy, and fracture our communities through divisive but shallow rhetoric. 

Times of crisis call for leaders of depth and substance, who know the issues, can answer the tough questions, and have plans to proactively address our nation’s problems through conservative policy. 

I believe I am the candidate of demonstrated substance and leadership in this race. But I need your help to spread our message to more CD4 voters.
